Madame White Snake Opera World Premiere

A ground breaking opera inspired by one of the most romantic and beloved Chinese legends, Madame White Snake is a thrilling must-see event! Internationally-renowned soprano Ying Huang stars in the title role of a powerful snake spirit who becomes human to experience love but whose dream is undone by doubt and distrust as her husband grows suspicious about her fateful secret.  Music by Zhou Long, Libretto by Cerise Lim Jacobs. Sung in English with projected English and Chinese titles.

Partnered with Friends of Madame White Snake and Opera Boston, BCNC is offering a limited number of benefit tickets for this world premiere show.  A $100 donation includes a mezzanine seat and an “Opera for Beginners” talk by David Collins from Opera Boston on Saturday, February 20th, 2-4 pm at BCNC, 38 Ash Street, Boston.
