Theme: Sense and Sensibility: Building Children's Social Emotional Competence
(1) Sep 28 (Friday): Understanding social emotional intelligence and ways to build positive social maturity
Concepts of social emotional competence, developmental phases of social development, autonomy and dependence, correlation between social maturity and academic achievement, ways to help children build social competence, strategies to increase quality social interactions at home, etc.
(2) Oct 19 (Friday): Knowing various social tendencies and ways to support positive social coping and adjustment
Concepts of social inclinations, temperaments, ways to help children with special social challenges (shy, aggressive, stubborn, indiscriminate, etc), social adjustment issues that can continue to adolescence or young adulthood.
Time: 6:00pm – 7:45pm

Notes:
Workshops will be delivered in Mandarin with Cantonese translation but not English.
Food and child care are provided during workshop time.
