Oak Street Fair - Sept. 2006
Despite the rainy weather, the annual Oak St. Fair was still a success. The fair moved indoors into Josiah Quincy School’s corridor where hundreds of community members came to join in on activities and entertainment. The fair consisted of over 40 tables with games and activities, arts and crafts, face painting, chess, health screenings, voter registration, information on services, and much more. Entertainment included a tai chi demonstration from the children in our Acorn child care center, a hip hop performance from our Red Oak program, and English and Chinese music performed by our Youth band. The fair ended on a sweet note with a watermelon eating contest for all ages. |
