Recreation: Pool

Our pool's physical facilities include a large 25 yard pool, a small wading pool for little ones, and locker rooms and showers.  The BCNC's pool program offers a range of activities for children and adults.  Swim lessons are taught by certified Red Cross instructors and are offered both during the weekdays and on Saturdays.  For children with basic swim skills, our popular swim team continues their training and provides an opportunity for competition in the Boston Centers for Youth and Families swim league.  In addition, we also offer daily open and lap swims, and water aerobics as the schedule and staffing permits.

Swim Lesson

Our popular children’s swim lessons are taught by certified swim instructors with many years of teaching experience. The classes are open to all levels of swimmers from beginner to advanced. Our lessons are not structured in rigid steps but rather tailored to each swimmer’s level. Some children may work on floating & gliding while others learn backstroke & breaststroke. We offer classes weekday evenings as well as Saturday afternoons. The 8 lesson sets run year round. Contact us for more information.

Lap Swim

The BCNC swimming pool offers several lap swims throughout the week. The pool has 5-25 yard lanes, which provides plenty of room for swimmers of all abilities. The pool has kickboards, pull buoys and flippers to help you vary your workouts. The times fo adult lap swim vary seasonally so please check our schedule or contact us. Membership is encouraged for lap swim, but drop-ins are also welcome.
Seniors swim for free.
