Let’s Get Lead-Free

Family Services staff members Grace and Mandy spent an afternoon outreaching for the Quincy Lead Abatement Program (QLAP), a partnership with the City of Quincy informing families on dangers of lead, how to make their homes lead-free, and how to keep families healthy. QLAP aids families who want to make their homes lead-free by providing a 5-year forgivable loan, including temporary relocation grants and other resources.

Grace and Mandy answered questions — in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese — about QLAP and gave information about the effects of lead exposure as well as eligibility requirements. Parents also inquired about Family Services events and programs.
